1971 Chevrolet SS350
G'day all,
I don't make new year's resolutions, but 2013 is the year I will finish off my SS350.
Amazingly, I've had her for more than three years now. And all I have done in that time is pull her apart and get a bit of rust work done. Got a bit sidetracked with the purchase of a house etc ... hardly even posted here in that time, although I do keep an eye on the site and do weigh in on all matters Monaro occasionally
Anyway, she's a matching numbers 1971 SS350, with 2-speed powerglide, originally Indy Orange with the orange houndstooth seats.
First step is to finish off the rust work. Will kick that off as early as possible in January.
Attached a couple of pics, one of the car when I got her, and a couple of "benchmarks"
Will post any and all updates here. Will get some pics of current status too ...
Cheers
Paul D.

- Here is another example .. I wonder if this is actually my car, not too many SS350 were made and I'm pretty sure this is my original colour

The posed picture was taken opposite the then just built Municiplal offices in Main Street Port Elizabeth. Take note the SS was parked facing the wrong way. (See the parking sign).
Darwin is Tropical and rust is an issue!! Have sent you a PM!!

I know, nearly fell off my chair when I checked my old files to see when I bought her!
Got your PM Johann, I'll try to get out there this week and grab some shots for you Got to find a camera with a flash, it's pretty dark in my shed!
And it is most definitely the tropics here, in fact, we got our first good downpour today (60mm in less than an hour). Late start but better than never - and my roof didn't leak at home, so it's all good!
Cheers
