Re: 70 Chevelle
I'm like a kids at Christmas, the car carrier is 5 min away from the Panel shop.... may the games begin. The rims arrived this week to, and Brandon (Stateside) has posted me a Chevelle catalog to start my wish list. Exciting!!!

Re: 70 Chevelle
I spotted a car carrier coming down Hilton on the N3 this afternoon, at about 14h20 with a car that looks suspiciously like your one and it also had a complete white Mustang on it as well.

I need a windscreen for the Chevelle. What are the chances of finding one in SA?

Re: 70 Chevelle
I think very small - the rear window I imported for the camaro through motown wasnt too expensive, and then its pristine.

I have one for you! The Buick takes the exact same screen. I will include 2 rolls of duct tape.Burnthosetyres wrote:I need a windscreen for the Chevelle. What are the chances of finding one in SA?
Have one made locally, you can't tell the difference.
Tiaan, didnt you use the back window you got from me?

Re: 70 Chevelle
Tony that was the second back window - Johan broke the one I imported by accident when it was already in the car.

Re: 70 Chevelle
Tony I'll take you up on that. We had a good look today. Was toying with chucking out the LS1 and going 454 but decided to stick with LS. Going to assemble car, get it running, and everything working, then do a grocery list. Then strip it, and spray etc. Given the project 12 months, time will tell... I got an offer today R50k as is more than what I paid, but can't sell her.... to many ideas! Exciting car, and quite unique....

Re: 70 Chevelle
So after 7 months, the car has not been touched, I fetched her today, and brought her home. Tomorrow she will go to Speedway auto, to start suspension, and try to get the motor started, Clinton Myburg from B&G Motorsport will come work his magic on the LS1. Shame she is standing outside looking rather forlorn....
