Fairmont GT Replica

Hi guys, posting this on behalf of someone else, pictures to follow, having a problem with photobucket...

Am in the process of making it a GT replica, but do not have the funds or the time to continue. Car is now just standing in the garage gathering dust.

Specifications:
- This is a daily runner
- All licenses up to date
- 4V Cleveland V8 (351 GT engine)
- New main bearings and sump. (engine still original and unopened)
- 4 speed manual
- Overhauled 9’ slip diff
- Imported universal joints on prop shaft
- New 4 barrel Holley Street avenger Carburettor
- Converted to electronic ignition (new distributor)
- New plug wires with Fuel saver boosters (better fuel burning, more power)
- K&N performance exhaust
- Koni Sport Shocks
- New Mags and Tires
- Original Paint
- Original interior
- 87900 KM on clock

Extras with car
- Extra set wheels and tires
- Original outlet manifolds
- Workshop manual
- Front disk pads
- Extra handbrake

Sjoe.......First I thought R20 000.00. Then I looked again and saw an extra zero. Personnaly I think this a bit far fetched. For that price I would rather go for the real McCoy.

Good luck with the sale though.

this car has probably cost a lot in terms of money and effort
but 200k sounds too ambitious for a replica GT
but the basics of economics is about a market with willing buyers and sellers...

For 200K there are a variety of (original) musclecars on the market....for that price I'll be aiming at an Lumina rather... :roll: :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:

how do you change the main bearings if the engine is original and unopened ?
