Robon Thompson Developement- anyone remember?

Anyone remember this guy and his small tuning shop dedicated to tuning and making Opels go faster, I beleive a few cars with his mods raced fairly successfuly.

During the course fo next week will be going to to very place where he used to operate from, will take some pics....

Remember him well. Use to be a rally driver and may even have won the WP championship in the mid 60's.

He turned out a quick Opel Kadette (well it was all relative!) that I think came with a black bonnet. He was faily low key compared to some of the other tuners of his time. He also did an Opel Rekord if I remember correctly, maybe even a Ranger. I think he had a workshop in Bergvliet somewhere.

He raced one of his Kadettes in a Killarney 3hr and his car was shown in one of the pictures of the start posted by Hi-Fi.

The Volvo was driven by Steve Botes and I can't remember his partner. The Ferrari was driven by Rollo Fielding and he did get away late.
