I took some parts to Lusinco. 2 X roof rack strips plus the 4 sliders. They quoted 3 weeks originally and estimated R350 per strip. Price went up to R1300 (Goldfinger had quoted R500/strip) but upside was supposed to take less time to do the alloy and for R300 the effort of driving from Muizenberg to Montague Gardens and then to Airport Industria didnt make sense. 3 weeks later and no answer, I phoned them and was told they not ready, asked when it would be and was laughinly told "We will call you". Today end of week 4 and still nothing so I sent email to Yolandi Jackson (owner). She promised to get back to me on Monday (11th April). Will let you know how it plays out. Only hope the quality of the job is worth it. Will probably take the other stuff I want done elsewhere.

Thanks for posting Daryl - be keen to hear how it pans out, and if there is a "reason" given.

Only heard good things about them until now.....
I have however seen some work (bumpers) that were not a straight as I would hope for - looked like the prep side had been shortcut. But without knowing if this was on the owner's request or not I can't neccessarily say it was a quality issue (Heard guys in the states asking "chrome or showchrome?)
just because you welded it - doesn't mean it's welded......

I got the chrome work back and not sure if I am impressed or not. There is some discolouration around the sliders. Doubt I will use them again.
