Welcome to the forum.

I always thought those shells are for restoring an existing car, must be a lot of work & big money to get\make all the other bits needed.

What chassis do you use? I've got an original Camaro chassis that I'm not using.

Thanks John. It probably helps that I am an absolute enthusiast - my fondest memories are of watching 181z at Roy Hesketh as well as the little Chevs in their day as factory cars and as raced later by Des Alley. I remember as if yesterday studying minutely the underside of 181z whilst it was on the scrutineering ramp - they were my dream cars and I am so happy that Historic Racing has brought them back. I also clearly remember the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang raced at Hesketh in the Springbok Series by Aussie Frank Gardiner. I would love to set up a sort of Special vehicle Div to make recreations of these race cars as an extension of the business - we have all the equipment - so we will have to see. You'd be welcome anytime.

Manson79 - As I said as my purpose was more background/ intro myself than business I'm remiss at this point on prices of bodies components etc so please indulge me while I do some homework in this regard.

Sorry Tony69 - The Mustang is monocoque so no chassis - it's a unibody.
Hang onto that Camaro chassis (the Yanks call it a frame) - you never know what doors can open.

No Probz, maybe by the time you get some where my other Mustangs will be done. Sorry i missed..... Where are you bassed? how long have you been into the muscle car game....? Sorry about all the ?????? but we see alot of people jump into it for a buck or two and then dissapaer agian.

G'day Graig,
I've just joined the forum after reading your post. I own a 69 convertible Corvette, which was converted to rhd by 4steer Conversions in Anaheim, California - http://www.4steerconversions.com/photo_gallery_1.shtml. Unfortunately the rack & pinion unit they used (flaming river) has just been knocked back by the compliance engineer here in Oz due to excessive bump steer. You state in your intro that you are a partner in Diamondback Racing and that you do rhd conversions of C3 Corvettes. Can you contact me regarding the system you use for rhd conversion.
