Hey all

Posted a couple of times but realised ive never properly introduced myself and thought no time like the present ;)

My name is Terence and work at Motown auto parts in Cape town with Oldschool.
Its been a while since ive had a project my last beast was a 454 big block chev el camino.Since then i married my wife and had a little petrol head whose first words im proud to say were broom broom,so yet another up and coming enthusiast 8)

I am now building a 302w clevor engine using 302c 2v quenched heads also thinking about stroking the bottom end 347.my request to you guys is any info you have on this type of build whether it be personal expierience in building one or photos advise on cams, carbs etc please post.
At this stage i just want to get as much info together as possible almost like a guy trying to decide what colour to spray is car

thanks for the gr8 forum ;)

Hi Terence.
I have been planning to built something simmilar for quite a while now.
Seen that the clevor intakes are freely available.
Only setback was the Push rods, found that the 302 Boss ones will work.
But as you know anything with the Boss suffix are big $$$$$.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Years ago there was a Red Capri with a streetboss motor, use to spin the entire track and still clocked 11 secs. All motor
Cheers

Hey Hano

I have the 302w xxx casting 1 piece rear main block already from ford racing in a crate and just thought id like to do something different.
Not many running clevor conversions around that i know of so decided this would be the different route to take.

If all goes according to plan/dream id like to drop this power plant into a fox body mustang, not the best looking car but light weight ;)

Did some homework and it looks like the pushrod length must be 194mm and edelbrock do a e boss dual plane intake flowing between 1500-6500rpm which is cool for the street.

Do you maaybe have any pics of the Capri?

Later T

Hi there Terrence...welcome and enjoy!!

I just had a 12.7.1cr 302W/347ci built for my 1/4 mile Capri project and I am sure you guys supplied the Scat kit or it might have been when Ralph was still at Stateside.
Phew....a Clevor in the right hands is gonna make some serious steam 8) 8)
I am looking forward to following your build ;) ;)
