G'day guys,
Just thought I'd post some pics of the engine bay after I started one thing and slowly turned into alot of other things.
I had a leaking rocker cover gasket on the right side so I popped on down to the V8 shoppe in Alberton Nth and grabbed a new set.
All I was going to do was replaced both gaskets so I wouldn't be dropping oil all over the complex carpark. But you know how it is, the gaskets looked nice and new and the rockers looked like crap. So lets give them a paint while they are off, now the distributer cap looks bad, give that a coat as well. Well after doing that there was no-way I was going to put the aircleaner/shaker back on like that so it got a lick of paint, as well as cleaning up the spark plug leads.
The battery tray was knackered as well so I grinded of the rust and corrosion and gave that a protective coat as well
Now it looks a little better,
Hmmmm..... manifold next.... then entire engine bay....
Cheers

Amazing what a bit of paint can do and a bit of elbow grease

That looks good Justin. Problem is it never ends there, as you now see the other areas that needs to be done. It never stops. Yes, and it is great fun doing little things like that over weekend between a beer or two. Enjoy mate!

Everytime I pulled into a petrol station people wanted to look under the bonnet.
Atleast now it looks a little more presentable.
The majority of it can wait till early next year when it goes to PMC to be fully rebuilt.
