USERNAMES

Post by HKGTS186S » Sat 05 Sep 2009, 10:26

To help know a little more about each other , why not explain our user names and why we have chosen them ?

To break the ice , my user name i chose after my car of first preference /most interest a factory 6 cylinder HK GTS Monaro 186S 1968 Model. The model that started the Monaro tradition.

I am sure some of the user names are the names of the user but some are obviously more than just that so please share these details ?

Mine is my site's name, which makes it easier to remember as I belong to quite a few car forums and my memory is like a sieve. But the origin of the name comes from our first ranchero, which was big and grey, like a whale, so we nicknamed it moby, the 302 was the size of the engine it had. The ranchero has long gone but the name has stuck to me now, plus it suits me, a nice non-gender name for the MCP's out there, and the whale part rhymes with my name and is a pretty accurate description of me

In restrospect I should have named my site something a little more along car lines, but too late now, 8 years down the line.

I got my name from the first Batman movie, with Jack Nicholson as the Joker when he say, "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light?"
