Hullo Kavesh! May you and the family have a prosperous new Year! The Opel started on the first turn of the engine this morning! Made my day! Also no more brake fluid leaks! Hope this is a better year!!

All the very best to you and your family Johann.

I am slowly making progress with my el camino.
I have had to disconnect the pcv valve to stop the smoking. There is still a lot of pressure in the crankcase. Looking for tappet covers with breathers for both sides so release the pressure.

Plugs are nice and clean which is awesome although the valve seals are not right even though they are new. Going to find cup shape seals to help with sealing. I have researched that ford cup seals or Toyota 12R seals could be better for sealing.

I am determined to enjoy the el camino this year.

Glad you happy with the opel now.

Take care

Gets frustrating sometimes as well. But I guess that is part of the classic car game.

I hope this is end to my Opel's Starter problems!!! 8O Started clicking again!! Found the wire from the starter to the starter button was heating up!! 8O :? This means that the wiring can't handle the current! Replaced the wiring with thicker gauge to and from the starter and button! Harness stays cool and after several tests not a single click! Thus this was an electrical load problem and not mechanical! Hope this is the end! I wanna go driving!!! Sunday to Kirk!!
