I have seen that one.
I don't want another one though.
It would be great to have a better base to start from.
As far as I know with rust, it never goes away.

NO , no the body module failure, or Smartlock.

Hi

I have another issue:
No start.

Starter cranks but engine doesn't fire.

It has been starting 100% since I did the starter immobilizer bypass on the BEM.

Now it would seem that the other smartlock immobilizer option is preventing spark.

Also, just my luck, the only solution is import a ozzie chip or get another ignition barrel.

Any ideas?
(besides fire)

I found the problem:
I had been fiddling with the radio as my friend who is using the vehicle installed a radio i supplied.
He wired it direct to the battery.

Long story short while i was fiddling i managed to short out the OEM ignition switched radio wire.

This 10A fuse (interior fuse box, top 2nd from right) is in line with the; radio, interior light, central locking & smartlock.
Basically there was no power to the Smartlock box. The starter was still turning and there was spark but no injector pulse.

That was fun. It took me 3 days to eventually discover that.
:D

Small update.
I might be getting the rust repaired for a reasonable price.

Another update :
I am getting the rust repaired.
The door sills in both sides and the bottom of the a pillars on both sides.

I am looking for a Windscreen.
Yes. I know I can get one from Leon from classic windscreen for R4500.

That is of of my budget at the moment.

Does anyone have any idea if the windscreen from the falcon Sedan (ef/el) from the 90's fits in the Ranchero (xh)?

I struggling to find a decent windscreen.
