Hi Rassie,

Mountainman you love jokes. It take 4 strong guys to lift this body. Do not fool yourself as this was a production car in the UK. Google before you invest in what you plan. Never will this bargain came for sale again. A Go-Car frame cost more!

Hi Rassie.
Humor and love makes the world go round.
I am joking about the lawnmower engine, but I think this body lends itself perfectly for an electric car. Will probably have to use something like a Nissan 1400 donor car for the 'box, diff, suspension and brakes built into a custom chassis. If the Cobra guys can do it...
There will be other considerations later on, such as AC motor with controller or DC with inverter, and each has drawbacks and benefits.
I am under no illusion that it will likely be the most expensive Kitten around, once the price of Lithium batteries are included.

The weight according to Wikipedia is 533Kg,but that includes the chassis and engine. That makes the weight perfect for electricity. The guys in the states are converting beetles, Geo's end Dodge Neon's, but the most popular is the Chevy S10 truck. They've even done a Hummer.

The really interesting thing other than the build itself will be registering the car. No previous chassis numbers, no engine number, etc etc. That will be a fight worthy of a writing a book about. How do you explain to the clerk behind the counter that the chassis was Grandma's carport in its earlier life, and the engine number previously belonged to a fridge? Sorry, another attempt at humor.

I have various options for trailers to be used to collect it with but the best will be my bike trailer. Length of the bed is 2.3m and width between fenders is 1.2m. That means it will fit length wise but I will have to put old tyres under the car to lift it over the fenders and to cushion the bumps. Can you confirm the dimensions for me so I can make sure I use the right size trailer?

If you are happy with the deal you can email me your bank details and I will transfer the money. I will sms you my email address.

How about this one? Originally a Rover 3500 V8 but now runs a LS1.
Why?
Because they can!
