Saw this on OLX...

1983 Ford Cortina XR6 Team Ford
https://www.olx.co.za/ad/ford-cortina-x ... c961a93cd5
R129000 neg

Looks clean, but definitely not original in the engine compartment...

Saw this on OLX...

1982 Ford Cortina XR6 Interceptor (nr 082)
https://www.olx.co.za/ad/1982-ford-cort ... 42e72eb64f
R190000

Seems to be a genuine Interceptor, but the original triple carbs has not be retained, look at the 4-barrel Holley turbo setup...

A clean, unmolested example, some TLC needed...
Fair price? It's not a Leisure model...

That was how conversion were done early on, there was also an Escort Sport from Steyns Ford (I think) that had this arrangement, but with the OEM Weber instead of Holley. They were low boost and horribly laggy and flatspots/hesitations everywhere. Soon after that era Dellorto could supply blow-through carbs that you could pressurize and the game changed a lot.

Correct it was Steyns Ford.
