Hi,

The Guys are correct Car had it wrong. I nearly purchased one and my friend did they are all Windsor. I have two Windsor's. One in Sapphire is 302 and in Cobra 351.
Be very careful do not purchase alley after market housing, I went through 5 some slightly different (with o-ring lasted bit longer) none of them liked the heat and ended up leaking. Only solved when I found proper cast original.
Seeing your dissy, I must still have new plastic holders and caps some where in the storeroom. I purchased them as spare when I was in the US.
Also have two Ford performance ally heads that will work nice on 302 to 347. (Ford Part Number M-6049-Z304DA)
427 Race Cobra
427 Backdraft AC Cobra
Ford Sapphire V8 (347 Stroker)
Lotus Exige Type 72
Lotus 7 (Birken) Rotary Turbo
2 x Mercedes SLK 32 AMG (one collector, one daily driver)
Corsa OPC Nurburgring
Alfa GTV 3.0 (2000)
C30 - 454
Jeep Rubicon 3.6

Definitely a Windsor motor in the XR8, I can remember back In the day one of the magazines made mention of the mistake in the Car test.

It is just back then that everyone that was not too clued up referred to a Ford V8 as a Cleveland as it was always the more common name that people heard
1984 Rover Vanden Plas V8 (Historic Race car)
1986 Rover 3500 Vitesse (UK Import Ex London Police Car)
1983 Rover Vanden Plas undergoing conversion to race car.
2009 Ford Territory ST,
2006 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Auto, daily driver

Alright guys - got some good stuff from "State Side" in the Stikland-area of Cape Town a few weeks ago........will hopefully go and collect it tomorrow as parts arrived from the States today. If all goes well, I'll get the old lady running over the weekend. As a meanwhile, got the grille professionally re-sprayed and the radiator and pipe-work rebuilt.

"KSF" - I haven't forgotten to get you the measurements for the coils etc.........will be in touch soon.

Cheers :D

Also, if there's anybody out there with a spare XR8 rim (15inch), a grey back board for the boot-area, the aforementioned AP Racing front discs/callipers and possibly a decent grille wrap around rubber gasket in good niche.

Thanks for looking

Thanks to Mr Ebay.co.uk

Found the correct grille rubber surround to replace the old cracked one. This one is made as a replacement to go onto the RS500 Cosworth.

Also some new rubber grommets and bonnet support pole bracket.
