2015 ford Mustang 5.0

Post by Graeme » Sat 26 Jul 2014, 12:45

Just been to find out if we getting the V8 mustang and yes we are. Orders will start in Jan 2015 and the car will be released in July. Since we not getting the new LS3 Chevy SS my name is down for the 5.0 mustang. Can't wait to drive a Ford.

The down fall is all the 2012 -2013 mustangs that I looked at locally where the guys spent a lot to bring them in and want a 1 bar for them will have to take a knock cause now that they are coming it will be pointless buying an imported older second hand one for the same price as a new one.

The new Mustang is one hot looking Ford. Love it. Did they give you an idea on pricing for the V8 and 2.3T?

Will be interesting to see what the V8 puts down on the Dyno. At the reef, the 2.3T may be the way to go in terms of absolute power to the wheels output, but a Mustang thats not a V8 just does not seem right.

They haven't released the prices yet. I'll put the 10k down as long as I get my 10k discount when I buy the car.

I reckon the V8 will be in the R800k range.

Could be, I am guessing the price based on what a 300C SRT8 cost here.

PRETORIA, South Africa 31 July 2014 — Ford Motor Company reveals power outputs and performance details for the all-new Ford Mustang at its Go Further event.

The all-new Ford Mustang equipped with the new 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine will offer 228kW and 440Nm of torque, while the Mustang equipped with a muscular 5.0-litre V8 engine will generate 320kW with 536Nm of torque.

Both engine options will be made available to customers in South Africa when the all-new Mustang goes on sale late next year. Ford also announced at Go Further that order books for the new Mustang officially open on January 19 2015 with specific terms and conditions.

In addition to the two engine offerings the all-new Mustang will also offer fully independent front and rear suspension, and an advanced lightweight body structure with extensive high-strength steel and aluminium components for excellent ride and handling.
