The car has been featured a lot on the Dstv show Counting Cars/ Count's Kustoms.

Yes it's OTT but what a head turner, imagine the thrill of driving it!

Re: 1927 Ford "Double Trouble"
yes, saw this on counting cars, was thinking to myself "Just give me one of those superchargers"
but yeah, what an impractical thing, that radiator isn't going to cut it, and i don't care what he said, its too complex to work well. As a head turner, sure, but i prefer those randy grubb creations.

There is a massive difference between clown cars that are built purely for show or shock value - multiple engines have been tried and abandoned numerous times - and stuff like what the Blastolene guys do. Still way OTT but in a good way....

I love those clown cars . Way better than those rust bucket mouse rod things that are so popular.
Friends don't let friends drive JUNK.

I'm sorry to say an ex-pat Kiwi built that...spent a little too much time in the States watching reality TV car shows...should have known better...
Re: 1927 Ford "Double Trouble"
Wow - Graeme and I sort of agree on something.....
I've got no problem with OTT when it shows vision, well thought out and executed engineering, and functionality. It does help when it can actually be driven any appreciable distance though...
Mark, at least you have quite a few very capable builders over there to redeem the situation

If you like wacky and OTT, here's one example of how to achieve it (in a good way), have a solid driver and turn heads wherever you go without having to wear the paper bag.....

Now that's a cool machine. Tail lights reminds me of Mick Jagger.
