I had three different CB750's and never heard them called Boesman.
Maybe it was because they were quite primitive but could keep going all day long.
This was my favourite that I sold, like an idiot, instead of putting it in the container with my Perana when I moved to the UK.
At least my mate bought it along with my BMW R100RS so is in good hands.
Cheers

Thanks for sharing the photo's Paul, it could be a Cape Town/West Coast term, have heard it on numerous occasions, sometimes also when referring to a CB550.paulusvrotius1 wrote:I had three different CB750's and never heard them called Boesman.

It's in the same way that a Mk1/2 Escort is sometimes called a "Boesman" or a "Saartjie"

Here are a few bikes I saw at The Motorcycle Emporium near Winchester. Two guys just importing old bikes mainly from the 'States. They have quite a few from my past, very nostalgic. If only I had the bucks I would buy the lot!!
