48 to 58 Chevy Step Side

Post by Burnthosetyres » Mon 03 Jun 2013, 18:51

I'm in the market for a truck. I'm not looking for a project, must have Chevy V8, modern suspension, correct dash, bench seat, and pressed tailgate. I don't mind having to do a blow over, but underneath must be mint!

Tim, I loved my truck and she served me well, I sold her for a couple of reasons, she was a bit stadig! And to stroke her or fit ally heads, the diff would not have handled it.... then she did not have the origenal diamond dash and origenal pressed tailgate and rear lights. I want the authentic look. I bought her for a good price, and had 2 years fun out of her, and sold her at a decent profit, so she ticked all the boxes, now I know exactly what I want. Ive chased a few the last 2 weeks, but all need work, and im not keen on another major project, where the car is immobile for months....the suspension, power steering, and mechanicals must be 100's, I want to spray it matt army green and do stars on the side...

Why dont you get one car that does everything.
Graeme has that impala that can be used as a joy ride car, family car as well as take the yard trimings to the dump.

i quite like the look of some "slammed" chev c10's that ive seen on the net and wouldnt mind a truck to tow my Ford around as it never runs

One day... Did 2 car shows recently, I drove Camaro & Tanya drove Coup, good fun... but there's something about admiring your own car in the road, in action.... I thought I'd sell the Coup... but I'm not so sure anymore.... its Hot!

Some of the trucks I've looked at.... Just sharing for mos.....

The blue 57 I loved, could even live with the tailgate, but hated the bastardized dash...at R200 k

The white 51 very nice at R250 k

The Matt black was stock suspension, Landrover motor ( sic ) no power steering, & windscreen cracked....
