Gm sequence number is no sure thing , but I'm hoping it all turns out correct for the sake of one more back on the road .... Almost certain that's a south west car !

If it's the same one I have on register...the owner did emigrate to South West/Namibia, so yes...you could be correct.

This is the one from Namibia......

It was confirmed before to be a replica - I think by Hilton if not mistaken

Not just a GM sequence number...it is definitely a Can-Am engine block, stamped with the original GM dies, together with its original US DZ number, also stamped in their original die font.

Yes that's is the one, it belonged to the guy staying in Namibia I never knew it was brought back into SA maybe that's why there are no records of it on the NATIS system. Hilton sold it on behalf of the owner I was told that the car was cut in half front end 2.5GT and the rear Can-Am.....but I have personally built an replica from the ground up and there are a number of things about this car that don't add up. A had a panel beater friend of mine also examine the car thoroughly and we cannot find where it has been cut the first place you look is on the pillars supporting the roof and there are no signs of any cuts or welds. You can distinctly see the cuts were the floorpan has been replaced but I must admit it has been very well done so It is hard to see the repair work. There are a number of things that don't make sense, why cut the car under the rear seat and replace the complete front section it would make more sense to move all the bits and pieces and transfer it to a complete new car maybe this is what really happened.

Guys, just one thing I need to state up front, I am not claiming that this is an original Can-Am car, I knew exactly what I was getting and the seller was completely honest, there was no funny business involved here. Furthermore, I am definitely not questioning anyone's knowledge or integrity about these cars and I have all the respect in the world for these guys.
The purpose of this post is to try find out more information on the car and where it comes from, I am no expert on Can-Am's but I'm keen to learn more and at the moment I have more questions than answers.

Me personally I'd rather have the original drivetrain and a donor body I feel it's more of the heart of the car ... As for the back seat cut I've seen similar cuts and it's not so uncommon .... its an interesting car and 3/4 of an original is still a great car ... Keep us posted please ....
