Re: Midlife Crisis
Hey my theory, is you only live once. Enjoy it! I have a bucket list and I'm subconsciously ticking off.... I wrote it some 15 years ago.... Drive a Ferrari & own a Porsche tick, tick....

RACECAR spelt backwards spells RACECAR.....
Re: Midlife Crisis
Yup I agree with that last meme actually....
Cars aren't part of a mid-life crisis...we dream of them as little boys but can't afford them...by the time we get to our middle age we can finally afford them.
And other than that..just like I said in my Facebook post...it is an addiction...the buzz and excitement you get when you buy an other car is just great...the guilt about the money and not actually having the money for it you deal with on a later stage...lol
I don't actually have a written down bucketlist on cars...the only car on my list was the Manta as that was my dream car as a little boy... I grew up in a small town in Holland where there where no big american muscle cars but we had the Manta Later in my teens 90s (yup i am still far away from midlife lol) we had the Opel Kadett GSi and absolutely loved that car and always thought I would own one day...Then many years later while living in South Africa I was surprised to see the prises on the GSi going up so much...not realising the history of racing here in South Africa and the homologated version... I heard them talking about boss, big boss and superboss but never really digged ino this...Now when I bought the superbosses and know the history of the car I am even more excited about my latest purchase...
If i would have to make a bucket list of cars it would be a little odd, and mostly european cars. I would also like to own a Citroen 2CV...just childhood memories

Re: Midlife Crisis
So I bought her on 2nd Feb, drove her for the first time last week. She goes nicely, very smooth. But it's been a real 'school Fees' story. I thought just throw in the Motor R5k and were good to go. Been chucking money at it, entire car rewired, new Aircon piping, brake hosed, clutch, and cables, etc etc. the bills are almost at R100k but we're almost there and it's basically a new car. Newly built matching numbers engine, bare metal respray etc. I've already been offered good money for her but for now, I'm keeping her!

Oh & we did complete and flip the targa. She came out very nice.
We then bought another Targa and she has been sitting for a while....

Looks like it really came out tops, Len. The 930 is one of the more sought after models and should be a decent investment...I love 'em!
