Hi gentleman

so i have been quite busy the last six months on my V8 conversion so this will be a update on how far i have come. just some back ground on car.
its a 85 sierra xr6 with original tilt and slide sunroof.

just to put your minds at ease i am not doing a xr8 replica just a clean neat sierra with a v8.

info on motor and running gear
302b heads with chevy 1.95 and 1.6 valves and ported
all new internals 40 over pistons
parana intake
600 holley
dizzy with ignitor
morroso leads
xr8 branches
c4 gearbox
3.08 diff

sierra up grades done discbrakes at back and new spring all round aswell as origenal xr8 xmember.

motor almost done here with help from my dad Nicol and uncle Chris Gerber and my at that time 8month old boy Lian.

day motor went in was not easy but got her in (blood sweat and tears and of course some big words) and a well deserved beer and smoke.

there after came all the hard stuff connecting all parts to engine that gave me some gray hairs as it seemed to be 1 steps forward and 5 back but all has worked out so far radiator in fans on alternator dizzy.

i have come far now want to maybe start this weekend will update with pics soon its much more complete than the last pick above.

hope next one i can post a sound clip
let me know if you guys have some advice or input

Looking good sofar, I have done the V8 in Sierra thing, now busy with a Sierra with straight six.

I had a T5 but sold it before I break it, got a Lexus box for a good deal so lets see if it holds up..

Any contacts for a T5 box... I hear the 4.0 falcons also cone with a T5.

No sold mine , wasn't going to hold up in any case.
Rather look for a Toyo fat box.
