Great looking fish!

Do you still have the 318? Or did you find a 340?

Is there a specific reason you went with the small-block? Planning some track time?

Thanks everyone, main reason for small block is having a car that you can drive more. The 318 LA is not as thirsty as other Chrysler power plants. I want a reliable under stressed runner. I want to drive it to JHB, DBN, CT etc. without "bankrupting" myself. This car is a keeper and I will never sell it.
The 318 will be 30 thou over, with all new rotating bits, bit higher compression pistons, little more bumpy cam, port matched heads, performer intake, 4 barrel Holley and headers. So I'm sure it wont be too lazy.
My ideal situation would be my current Cuda as a semi daily driver and a big block Monster for weekends, like a B body = Coronet, Roadrunner, GTX but that's just pie in the sky.....

A mild 318 can 'talk' in that light weight car.............as in running 14's in the 1/4 mile (400M) with an otherwise stock auto tranny and ca. 3:23 rear end.

Even header/branches may not be needed since the stock Mopar '318' exhaust manifolds flow surprisingly well. :)

Thanks Bearhawke

I don't have the log manifolds, and with our RHD conversion cars headers are almost easier cause you can custom mandrel bend them to route past starter and steering box.

Update!! took block for measurements, big ends and mains will be cut 10 thou under, and cylinders bored 20 thou over. Looking at Keith Black 167 Pistons, this will give push up compression nicely.
Also 727 torque flight trans is rebuilt and ready to rock!. Awaiting some goodies from the States...
I cannot wait to drop the motor in, feels like it's taking forever!

Update, got hold of an old messed up headliner with bows and got a new one made up. I installed it myself and looks neat. Also got my front and rear window gaskets as well new door locks with keys from Year One. So glass is finally back (my Wife helped me 8) ) and my doors lock! Receiving new wiring loom tomorrow, making progress.
