Gearlever. Escorts have that problem . the fine treads on plastic wears out, then you get the
Lever in hand effect. 8O 8O

Would like one of these.

Was one for sale on Gumtree. Missed it by a day :x

The Fong Kong ones you get locally. Not so good.
Curent lever also caput. Bought a FongKong one. Willl have to do.
I one can get a place to turn the screw in portion out of aluminum it will be nice. :D

Good to hear it's not just MY problem :lol: Also thought if I could just get an alumunium replacement it'd last better. Now if only I had a lathe... :roll:

I'll be taking him in for a gearbox "spa treatment" soon, have them pull it apart, clean it, replace the odd bit that's worn... Maybe they'll know of someplace where I can get a better replacement :D

Would be the ideal to have an aluminum screw in unit. Let me know if you can find someone to do it.

Johan I'll post over weekend. Will take some pics.
Bought Meguiars Carnuba wax. Want to try it out.
Will then start a new thread.
