Update: So after Greg & Clint have looked at the motor, there are story's, fitted to low & to far back. Which means the manifold & exhaust will need rework... Not sure what mileage motor has done, and to get LS running not an easy exercise, Soooo.... Went to see Mike Egan today. Think we gonna do a swop for a 454 and do it right. Go big or go home.....
It's currently mated to a 4L80e box but think I'm gonna go Turbo 400. Yes most would go Tremec but I'm an auto fan.... Call me lazy!

Good call on the 454,although the LS motors are awesome powerplants,they are ugly too look at,and IMO your Chevelle will have more value with a bigblock,I like! 8)
