Hi, your grille is an early '69/'70's one and should have an alloy dummy grille attached at the rear of the bulge. They are quite rare.

I can't seem to upload pics at the moment but will do so as soon as I can.

Sorry, above should read bonnet not grille.

You can see the extra piece on the bonnet of my car.

You should try to repair your bonnet if possible.

I'll get some close-ups of my bonnet for you tomorrow.

I agree with Paul. that bonnet is far too good to cut up or throw away.

unfortunately its not possible to repair the bonnet. its just bent very badly and the supports bent. i've tried to strip the supports from the bonnet skin, hoping to get them strait but with no luck, just to much damage.

and the bad part now is that i want to use the hump, but if this bonnet is so rare i'm most probably never gonna get the part that's missing :(

Still worth fixing. Carefully undo the inner frame a from a 4 cyl bonnet and use that to do the repair.

The casting for the back is rare, but they are findable, more so in ZA than the UK.

The good news is that it is an easy to fabricate shape to make a replica bolt on bit from sheet steel.

I agree, not a hard shape to copy. Here's a few pics.
