Then i was lucky this week.I bought me another Toploader as a back-up this week for R3800.00.Also included was a clutch and pressure plate, flywheel, clutch master, clutch slave,yoke,speedo-drive fitting, shifter with linkages...... :D
Very lucky. Any updates on your project?

handed in the crank and heads at the engineers.. and when i turned around the one head i noticed that it has 302 written on it... so looks like i've got a 289 with 302 heads. i've read that thats not a good combination :?

car is ready for paint. i just need to make some time and make sure everything is 100%.

now i decided to install my automatic gearbox for now and change it one day when i earn more money. since this project is starting to cost me more than i had in mind. so i'll rather do that than to stall the project and never finishing it.

My plan was just to hone the block and keeping the standard pistons. Now after buying rings and honeing one celinder, I mesured the ring end gap and its 1mm a bit to much and the celinder walls are stil not smothe.. So the block is going to the engineers tomorrow morning. And I'll have to buy some oversize pistons and rings.. :?

At least you have got the best 302 cylinderheads. Much better than the small 289 ones
Hole on the side can be used for oil temp sensor or block it of.
Good luck.
