I purchased a C30 a couple of months ago to use as flatbed.
But it was a straight 6, so today purchased a C10 with 454 V8. This motor will now do duty.
Project will start next year making one out of two.
Want to make it tow truck, with sides that can be clipped in and out so can be used as normal truck as well.

Very nice project, I seem to be liking the flatbed trucks more and more.

Do you need a code 10 for those C30's, too?

C30: will you keep it carb'd or go fuel injection? Too; manual or AT? Why all the questions is that a TBI conversion along with a 4L80 4 spd AT would make for a powerful truck that might return reasonable fuel economy. 8)

It is auto TH400. Will remain old school Carb, not concerned about fuel economy, will mainly be used for shows and race Cobra. Must still decide how far I go with motor.
