Hey
Welcome to the forum, nice truck. Maybe try asking around with the guys here
on the forum before looking abroad. Rand / Dollar is really taking a downward spiral recently.

Get some period correct wheels. "20" chrome rims" will make it look like something from the Autostyle show. no. Just no.
With regards to a small steering wheel, in a truck of that size - bad idea. You have lots of steering play in those old trucks, with a small steering you will constantly be playing see saw.
Last but not least, v8 engine - "easy fit" would be a 351 Cleveland. But you will still need quite a bit of modding. gearbox, mounts, shifter, radiator just to name a few. if you are not mechanically minded chances are it will turn out to be a headache and you will get ripped off by workshops.
Also you will have endless heating issues if you drive it slowly in deep sand etc. the straight 6 is more suited to lugging.
My honest opinion, if there's nothing wrong with the engine - leave it.
