Apologies for the lack of posts recently... been fighting a never-ending battle to get the Chev licensed and REALLY hoping someone on this forum can point me in the right direction!!
Took all the paperwork to the Licensing Department and were advised that we required an LOA. I confirmed with the guy at NRCS that it is a rebuild (Code 3) but that it falls outside of the VC8022 specification as it is a pre-1967 vehicle which he agreed upon but required confirmation from his technical committee following which a letter would be issued confirming same - this was in October 2017.
I was requested in November to provide a valuation certificate from a Classic Car Association verifying the year model to support my claim that it was a 1959 model which I did. I've been going back and forth since and was now informed today that my vehicle is in fact subjected to NRTA requirements and that an inspection is to be carried out with regards to this.
This is my first rebuild. Is anyone able to provide me with some guidance please. Is this the correct process, if so, can you provide me with the inspection criteria? If not, if anyone is able to assist with getting my vehicle licensed and on the road it would be greatly appreciated.
I've taken no shortcuts in this build and have been ripped off by several builders and find myself becoming extremely frustrated by the entire process.
Thanks in advance. I promise to post a few photos tomorrow of the bits and pieces we've been doing in the past few months. Once we've got the suspension and AC sorted she'll be off for a brand new spray job!!!
