'80 T-Top Fox

Post by 49Shoebox » Sat 01 Jun 2013, 09:10

I have sold all but one of my cars ( ive taken a certain forum members advice even though he has gone against that buying up chevelles and splittys, no names mentioned )

Winter is here so this is the time to pull it appart, the roll cage is almost fitted, ill be pulling out the straight six as im getting bored with it. I have got a 351w from Alvin and that will be mated to a toploader box. This combo in the little Fox Body is going to be quite fun.

I have taken off the metric TRX tyre wheel combo and have purchased slightly bigger/wider wheels off of a 90 Fox Mustang, i think they look much better.

I havent decided on what color ill spray her yet but im looking forward to a wicked car when its done and maybe use it to play around on the strip at Killarney.

Wil I'm so proud of you my boy! Do what I say.... don't do what I do! My point was funds wise, rather build one properly than have 3 half baked potatoes!
I have serious remorse for selling my Apache. I'm on the hunt again, chasing 3 at the moment. Even walked the vrou through the yard, to plan 2 more carports.... one short already!

Wil when In Cpt next will come check your project out!

Looking good. But its a foxie and they always look good. Think she'll rock with a 351.

Picked up the Top loader box last night, it came with a new belhousing and plate, two forks and bearings, a shifter rebuild kit, a flywheel with new ring gear.

I dont know if the fly wheel will fit the 351w?? the part number shows it comes from a 289 "HI PO" fairlane?

I am going to use this weekend to clean out all the parts for the white Fox that has been sold to Karl and make space for this project. I'll then go on Tuesday to doctor Alvin to go collect my Motor.

Hey T, yeah i feel sorry for the people living in the beachfront area  I have a new member in the club that owns a black 88 GT who also lives in the area with the same "DRIVING HABITS" as myself

Im not going to build the car for massive power as its not needed, the Fox is small and light and plus a 351 in a small body Mustang...... . Im still playing on ideas for colors and stance.
