Re: Mustangs
It is an awsome car.
I agree with Daan. just as well we cant see the future, take all the fun out of it, and yes to definately laugh more.
I will post a proper story and History on the car soon. By the way the current owner has 2 other Shelby Mustangs, all signed by Carroll Shelby.the one car is a GT500KR..

Re: Mustangs
I must say that all 3 Mustangs look FANTASTIC good to see that they are very original.
Re: Mustangs
Hi Gavin...Stunning car
Yes I agree with most of what was said. Especially the future part. I "gave away" a '65 (2+2) 4 speed and swapped another '66 Fastback for a '70 Fairlane about 3 years ago. The Hertz Shelby to me is the prettiest of all the 350 Shelby's. And when I order mine in my dreams, it will have a red interior.

What can I say we live and learn.
You can imagine driving into a crowded parking in a place like Sandton City, Michael Angelo Hotel wher all you see is Rolls, Bently's Ferrari's etc.the Mustangs will draw more of a crowd than the others thats for sure.

Re: Mustangs
I have been looking for a 69-70 fastback for a while, but it seems impossible to get one. Phoned for one in autotrader today and the guy wants R750k for the car!
To put it mildly, that is very far from my budget constraints!

Re: Mustangs
The price tag on that is destined for the rich & famous and it will then belong to someone who is gonna stick it in a glass case & never drive it.

Re: Mustangs
Yes the price seems a bit ridiculous, if we could import from the USA, you can buy a nicer example for less than a 3rd of that.

Re: Mustangs
On that note. If anybody on the forum knows hot to import a car from the US, or knows someone that has done it since our import regulations on LHD vehicles changed, please let me know!
