Well Mustangs, I am not an expert on them but do know a few things.

Firstly Boss 302 did not have a regular 302 motor but rather had 302 with 4 bolt mains and very unique cylinder heads...in my opinion the Boss 302 is probably the most usable of all the Boss models

Boss 429, not built by Ford but by Karcraft, 429 was a semi hemi motor, built in 1969 and 1970, some had solid lifters, others hydraulic

Anyway one of my club members has just finished restoring this....1971 429 Mach 1.....stunning car, not over restored like some mustangs are....sounds fabulous...car was in really a poor state to begin with, had a sunroof and had quite a bit of rust. Restoration took a year in total. But what I cant quite explain here is how orginal this car looks, sure many of the parts are new but the whole car does look it age unlike some that look too good.

429 is matched to a C6 auto and it cruises comfortably at 160km/h...but the sound at idle, well that humbled all the Chevys we had on the run... :D

Very nice, the 71-73 mustangs are quite a sad tale for me, as they were made to house the 429 engines, and then those engines were discontinued after 71.

Thas is a really nice example, do you have some engine bay picture?

I wouldnt mind having any mustang - I love them all except:

72,73 mustangs they just lost all their mucle car appeal.
grande mustangs, they just dont have the bad muscle car vibe.

But my favourite is a white and black 70 Mach 1 fastback (and while were dreaming make it a 428 Super Cobrajet).

I posted a short story in a previous post about my Shelby GT350 I sold in 1987.
If only I new then what I know now.........
Here is a picture of the car in the condition the current owner keeps it in.
My personal favourite shape of all time, the 1969/70 comes second.

Ja, if we all can see in the future....I suppose we will do a lot of things differently. But fortunately its good we cant do it that way, otherwise it will take all the fun out of life. I always say "what's meant to be, must be!" Even if I can have my life over I will change only one thing, I will laugh more.
