Aussie Builds?

Post by Triplethree » Sat 16 Feb 2008, 00:39

Among the nice selection of Fords at this year's George show I did notice a tasty Falcon GT with the Falcon GT rearend badge and the superroo decal on the fenders. Anyone aware of Aussie FBU imports back then?

Have pics, will post later :(

PS
Also a very useable Taunus 20M RS 2 dr for sale, long time since I've seen one, let alone the RS

FBU might stand for fully built up?

The XW you refer to Tiaan has gone very quiet. Wonder what Theuns has done to it? Wonder how many more cars like that are left here in Sth Afr.

Just bought an XW Falcon ute this week, I somehow doubt it was brought in for evaluation purposes as Wally has an ealier XT Ranchero. Should be quite unique from the sea of local XY Ranchero's that we still have lying around. Mystery how it ended up in ZA?

yes, a number of xy falcon gt's were sent over initially.... can't wait to see the photos....
the ones sent over in full build had aussie interiors, ie, they were identical to aussie falcon gt's, unlike the fairmont gt's that you guys ended up getting with small cosmetic changes, ie, wheels, interior and badging.
