has crossed my mind  ,1760-1800 kent with a pre crossflow downdraft head,44idf Webers etc......but it's not rocket science to make your own downdraft head out of a pre-crossflow one..

Y151 actually ran with a turbo at one stage. You should try ti get in touch with Peter Gough - maybe he can shed some light on it.

Unfortunately the other person who would have known our friend 'Mr Escort' Henry Korkie is no longer with us.

Knowing that Willie Meissner was in the uk ,and the era that he lived in , did he ever dabble in making downdraft heads? and has the straight six engine he apparently used to develop concepts on survived?

I found these photos on an overseas forum, but they state that the photos come from South Africa....Is this the turbo motor from the racing Escort(Y151's brother)

Any feed back appreciated
I think the Y151 turbo predates the Meissner OHC, but I am not sure of that at all.

You guys need to get hold of Peter Gough, he may have some answers. Or maybe Koos Swanepoel. both have good memories.
