Spare a thought please

Post by ZA Perana » Sat 26 Mar 2011, 17:12

Am having a very difficult time at the moment, my dad had a heart attack yesterday morning, managed to drive himself 50km's from the office to home and then to the hospital where they immediately admitted him into ICU after they discovered he hada heart attack. He is concious and speaking but its still not a great situation, is being transferred tomorrow to another hospital and they are going to run more tests on Monday, I hope and pray an operation is not the needed option(especially nervous as 5 years ago he had an opt and basically "died" on the table.)

Also had a fairly difficult 5 hour exam today so all in all I am not exactly feeling full of the joys of life.

Apologies in advance if some of my future posts come accross as being a bit blunt. May take the Capri out for a short drive tomorrow, perhaps that will make me feel a tiny bit better.

Know how it feels, Had a heart attack in 2006 and spent 5 weeks in ICU. Be assured that there is Someone looking over your Dad and if your Dad may require by-pass, one of the best surgeons "Fulton" is right there. He did me and I am still around thanks to Someones guiding hand.

Jacques,
So sorry to hear about the old man - give him our very best and tell him we're thinking of him. Very best from Doug and Gary, plus all at C.B.F.

Really sorry to hear that your dad is not well. He sounds like a strong willed person. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Hope the drive makes you feel a little better.
