enough is enough.

Post by Graeme » Tue 13 Jul 2010, 08:23

I would just like to know is it worth owning alot of cars that just stand there looking pretty. Most of us own
two or more classics but is owning 10 or 20 cars to much.I think it starts with owning one car buying another
one cause it was a bargain, next thing you have ten bargains in your yard.I'm starting to get depressed when
I think of all the projects I have and spending money on five cars when If I owned two cars I would have the
best there is because I can put my money into two cars instead of 5 cars and get no where. It just gets to much to handle, plus the wife just doesnt understand then you sit watching your cars with an empty bottle next to you wondering whats next.Anyway I'm off to look at another car.
Cheers

Graeme.

Graeme, i know exactly what you are feeling....i am in the same boat, or is that car?? :D

My collection also started out as 1, then 2,then 3...bigger bargains crossed my path etc - now 30+ cars!
Very rarely i sell a car(actually did this week), what usually happens is the funds from a car sale ends up going
into another 2 or 3 fresh car purchases!!!! 8O

What did you sell Gunter?

Hope it's not that beautifull race prepared Anglia !

Just a thought

You've always got some mouth watering stuff for sale (sometimes even a Chev)

You should upskill yourself and post some pictures on this and other websites.

Could even advertise some of those Minilites that should be arriving any day now, or are they alll sold?

graeme, we all have this disease, fortunately i only have my race car that keeps me busy and spending
maybe thats what you should do is focus on one
i blew my motor sky high last meeting chasing the 9's
the run before she broke 4 pistons was a 10.1, so we added more doom which killed it

Here's a an example, you go to a car show for a look around, next thing you find yourself all excited about a car, strike a deal with the owner, cant sleep until the car arrives, then car gets washed once and then dumped
in the back and forgotten about. My house has parking for three classics and two Modern cars which is now full.I cant even remeber what I own anymore because my other cars are in panelshops and scattered around
the country.

Must be an ex Mustang 2 unit lying in the rain behind some local's garage.

But who is that guy?

Man the fuck up kid.

Get rid of that sowing machine ricer and get rid of that white bubble car you got the wife driving. Get her a a nice classic like maybe that AMC Griffon you like so much. Anyway I know of two cars you can get rid of to make room.

You can even sell me that Buik if you want...................

Just my little 2c worth... I actually look up to you guys, Graeme and Gunter, you guys show what it is really like to have that 'passion' for these cars, and I would seriously like to own as many rare classics as you guys do. Basically you guys inspire us folk on this forum. Yes sometimes there may be large downsides to owning so many cars, BUT perhaps you guys should reignite your passion for them, Graeme you say you have even forgot about certain cars, perhaps if you start tracking down your cars, post up pictures of them, see the passion that we all share for them, you can remind yourself of why you have such a collection...

P.S what car are you going to go and see? and Gunter, pics of that Lexus v8 supercharged Miata please!!

Thanks Twisted,The truth is I have down sized alot over the past two years,I sold alot of my pontiacs
and a few other cars and started to focus more on what I have.It would be interesting to see the amount of
cars that some of the members have as I think many members have alot more than I do.One such member
that has just rejoined the forum is going to have a problem soon if he doesnt stop buying cars.
