Just browsing through some old posts and I never got a reply on the post Ford Mercury Comet! I have been searching the net and can't find anything. The cars were built for Lincoln Mercury race division with Bill Stroppe prepared 289 ci motors for the East African Safari. There was one in PMB for a few years in about 1965.Anyone know of its whereabouts today?
Grunty.

May 1995 issue of Street & Strip magazine had a feature on one of the surviving Comets. It was found in Natal and semi-restored to run in that year's Safari....interesting story...
