Hopefully not!
Chevrolet is to be discontinued!
Isuzu will continue
I am guessing when you were at GM such an eventuality could never have been imagined.

very sad for South Africa, although..I won't be missing the chevy spark or chevy utility or chevy cruze...to be honest the current range of chev availble isn't all that exciting...perhaps the trailblazer?
Only exiting model the Lumia but they were not build in SA were they?
It is no wonder Chevy isn't doing very well with the cars they are having on offer

It is always sad when we have limited access to car brands that are available elsewhere (Like Dodge
) , although I agree the range available was not too exciting. Lumina, Trailblazer and Ute I liked.
The talk is all around Chev though. Whats happening to Opel?

As i have heard is that Peugeot is leaving Opel to Be Opel and let it run pretty much its own course away from the peugeot citroen show rooms.
Gm and Psa as still arranging everthing and transition should be complete by the end of 2017.
The above is okay for the european market not sure how this will affect SA market regarding Opel. The range of Opel is also very limited in SA with only the Astra and the Corsa..maybe they can take back the bakkie model which is based on the Corsa anyways.
Isuzu wil stay in SA for sure they have a reasonable market share in SA

So would anyone be brave enough to buy a Lumina in this current scenario?

GM will support and service through Isuzu for the coming years.
How is the 2nd handmarket? Did many more chev's come up for sale?

I don't expect Lumina prices to drop. Would love them to drop in order to afford one as well, but I rather think they will increase in value.

I am now biased but I hope they do retain some value....

Sad.
GM, as many of us know, they're discontinuing all manufacturing in Australia as well. So, everything's going to be imported here on out.
