That's very interesting KSF!!! I always take guys that race cars seriously. 99% of the time racers are much more clued up on the technical things.

I know an old Oom running his 1200 Datsun on unleaded from when it came on the market, in daily use. He has no issues, and the motor has never been opened.

His reply "Petrol is petrol", I drive it ....

A Datsun 1200 can run unleaded because it has a head with brass seats standard.
If your car has low compression dont make much problems but 60's and early 70's High compression burn valves easy.1970 Camaro 350 1 tank from Escort near Durban to Johannesburg burn all 8 exhaust valves,Holden 308 burn valves from Benoni to Krugersdorp. Chev V8 from 1974 had flame gardens seats work till seats been cut.
