I am so sad to hear this terrible news. Basie was a great asset to our forum and a
was loved by many for his wit and sometimes contraversial take on things but that is what makes this forum a great place to be.
I had every intention of looking Basie up on my next trip to S.A. (partly because I used to own an Alconi R10 and wanted to pick his brains) and my sister lives in the Stellenbosch area.
My thoughts go out to the family and friends, be strong.
Cheers

Sad News

Gordini, very paxionate talking about modifications, he was!
I am sad that did not meet him in person. But we could speak few times.
At this moment, I send my deepest condolences to the family and close friends.

Basie was a Scollar and a Gentleman who did not suffer fools gladly. RIP Gordini!
