Re: What era of music....
I grew up in the war years, so I love the old nostalgic GOOD music. My gran used to take me to the local bugwalk, the Yeoville Bioscope once a week, and those days the supporting programme usually had a insert of one of the big bands playing a few numbers.
Later I discovered jazz through a friend, and I really like cool, swinging jazz, not the weird stuff. Having lived thru' the fifties one has to love the Beatles, Elvis, Creedence Clearwater and the rest of the crew that changed the world of music.
Today our computer takes the place of the TV and radio over week-ends, and I have thousands of numbers in different playlists that keep us entertained, whatever the mood.
I'm afraid I cannot listen to the crap that passes for music these days.

Ters, cannot agree with you more.
I had all my Dad's music to listen to. Which consisted of anything from Beethoven, Brahmns, Petula Clark, Cat Stevens, et al.
A real variety of music.
I loved anything from the 60's to the 80's.
For those that don't like what your kids are listening to today. Take a listen to their kind of music but played by "Post Modern Jukebox", you'll be surprised at the change.
My 80's were all about Reggae and Ska and to this day I listen to this music.
Tune into www.whalecoastfm.co.za on a Monday from 19h00 to 21h00 to here proper reggae and ska.
Not just the Bob Marley stuff.
