At least he knows what he is looking for.... and respect for wanting to do a father and son project, sadly he is out of touch what running and driving fastback are going for, but hey, if he adds a zero to te back and times by 2 he is on the money!

What a laugh. Maybe 20 years ago he could have bought projects like that.
He did not say anything about a 70's VW Passat 2 door fastback.

At least his time will not be wasted.

There is sometimes the other side of the coin where sellers tend to ask a

price way over the top, totally unrealistic. They also have the benefit that nobody will waste

their time.

The problem is that sometimes sellers and buyers put a personal price on something, not

an objective price. And then there are people who just try their luck.

Please note the SHAPE. The pictures loaded is a reflection to the SHAPE of car that he is interested in! The body will be rebuilt so the condition of body is not an issue, but if it is the wrong shape it will NOT be considered!
The motor and gearbox must be working (drivable). I would like to test drive the car. Will accept cars with minor errors, like carb needing tuning, oil leaking, broken exhaust, etc., but I want to start and drive the vehicle. No cracked tops, etc.
Lastly, we are not interested in the smaller vehicle types, such as Ford Escort or Datsun SSS or 160Y, etc.
Please don't send me sms's... Will ONLY respond to emails containing pictures of the vehicle.

Will pay between R10000 and R15000 cash if I like what I see. Don't waste my time or take chances.

Gotta love this clowns chutzpah

Sounds like this guy and his son has some extra time during the school holidays and jumped on google after watching some American shows on TV.

He clearly has no idea of current market prices or what it intends to get the body they are considering. 8O

I am seriously considering replying but I actually reading this find it quite sad that the prices are no way beyond what the ordinary person can afford.

Sadly he is quite out of touch or he is looking for a laugh.

Side note here: what's with all of the USA or possibly Canada pics there? I'd take the advertiser a tad more seriously if he posted pics of actual vehicles registered in RSA.
