Anyone here from Australia?

Post by Maverick » Mon 09 Jun 2014, 09:06

I'm at wit's end.

for the last 45 days I've been trying to get prices and availability on a list of some 32 items that i need new from Australia for my Fairmont GT that I'm busy building. Being a nut and bolt restoration I cannot use 2nd hand parts for those items.

I've mailed Rarespares, after 2 weeks of not answering my mails and web requests, they finally replied. Sent them the list, loits of items they dont have. I sent them another list with 7 items to quote me on. Now they dont reply to me any more for the last 10 days.

GT performance, spoke and e-mailed Michael in the beginning, he never sent me prices for the stuff I need after i sent him a list.

On wednesday last week, I sent an e-mail to every single company that sells Falcon GT parts, do you think one of them bothered to reply?

Barring getting a plane ticket and going to buy the damn spares myself, is there anyone based in Melbourne that is willing to assist? I have the transport/shipping sorted as a friend of mine is a shipping agent.

Hi Maverick,

Michael from GT FORD Perf has been flat out organising a massive car show in Melbourne so perhaps why he didn't reply back.
Most GT shops send parts direct from store to your house. All you have to do is get online order/ pay by credit and hey presto they are on there way....
Not sure why they haven't replied back.

Thanks Rassie I always try to help all my South African friends. Have sourced and sent many new parts to RSA over the years.
My parts supplier of choice has been GT Ford Performance I have " never" had a problem with them.
Always reliable. :D
