Clean water.

Post by RASSIE » Mon 12 Aug 2013, 07:39

They try to sell me a filter for the water. R.500 pm renting for 2 years. Is this a scam?
Left is their water. Centre is my boiled water and right is out of the tap. They put a double element and boil all three glasses. See the result?
Any idea from the members?
Rassie.

Is that realy from your tap? Did not think there is dirtier water than in Witbank but ours is cleaner than that. I agree with AintSheSweet, drink beer especially in Natal.

did they bring their own water?
or did they attach it to your tap. and then run your own water through their filter?

Eish you best get some Jojo tanks and start collecting rain water or go buy drinking water it will be cheaper than there filter. Best filter for drinking water is still simple coal, so you could make your own. Yip if your water is good your kettle should look brand new inside after a year still. Filters don't last so you must factor in replacing them. But think it's cheaper to buy the 20l per month for drinking as if yours, is not so good so why waste money on filtering it when you could rather buy cleaner water already filtered.  or get more beer.

The left glass was their own water. Our water was super clean till they put the twin elements in the water. Not sure if they fool us as they change our clean water to the dirty water you see. I got a feeling the twin elements was doing something to my water?

you've been drinking it for how many years??
any side effects?
is it municipal water or bore hole?

they probably brought their own water that has been poured out of a little bottle, purified a few times and and and.

if you concerned, buy one of those in line filters for the taps. the cheap and does the job.

Rassie, this is an old scam that surfaced in Joburg about twenty years ago. The answer as far as I can remember is that one of the elements self-destructs, and all the impurities you see are from this element. It got to the stage that the Rand Water Board issued a statement
confirming that their water (at that stage) was one of the top three products in the world and gave a detailed explanation of how the scam worked. Moenie worry Rassie, drink your water as it is.
