Classic Cars of TV and Movies
So a recent post on the subject of an SL Merc got me thinking about cars of TV and movies I remember as a kid growing up in the 80s. For me, the shows with cars as characters themselves were my favourite, and I have had most match box versions growing up at one time or another. Here is what I remember:
TV
Magnum: Ferrari 308 GTS
Knightrider: Pontiac TransAm
A-Team: GMC Van and Face's Chev Corvette
Dukes of Hazzard: Dodge Charger RT, Cadillac
Hart to Hart and Dallas: Mercedes SL
Starsky and Hutch: Ford Torino
The Persuaders: Aston Martin and Ferrari Dino
The Saint: Jaguar XJS
Miami Vice: Ferrari Daytona, Testarossa
Movies
Mad Max: Ford Falcon
Grease: 48 Ford
Wierd Science: Ferrari Mondial and Porsche 928
My Science Project: Pontiac GTO
Cannonball Run: Ferrari 308 GTS, Aston Martin, Lambo, Vettes
Smokey and the Bandit: Pontiac TransAm
James Bond/Spy who loved Me: Lotus Espirit
Back to the Future: DeLorean and some cool 50s cars
Ferris Buellers Day Off: Silver Ferrari....cant recall what is was
Ahhh, the stuff kids dreams are made of!! Seems I just haven't grown up yet........

Great post Scar!
I remember a series called Matt Houston with a big white convertible, anybody know what car it was? Full of curves in all the right places!

The movie that stands out for me would be "American Graffiti" with Richards Dreyfuss etc. A most authentic movie, as far as I am concerned.
