I have to show some homework, by order of the Teacher
So here they are, quick little pen sketches on pieces of notepad paper. They're in order from 'first attempt' to latest...

- Gordini, from memory

- Pickup wasn't brand-specific, these were both just done randomly
- 190320131168.jpg (113.02 KiB) Viewed 2345 times

- Had a photo for this one
- 200320131176.jpg (155.02 KiB) Viewed 2345 times

- Took another forum member's 'quick sketch', and 'resketched' it...
- 200320131177.jpg (180.05 KiB) Viewed 2345 times

- Used a low-down photo of the Zephyr for this one
- SDC12440.jpg (39.99 KiB) Viewed 2345 times

- From a photo of a Maisto model Camaro Z/28
- 050420131218.jpg (164.17 KiB) Viewed 2345 times

- Also used an internet photo here...
- 110420131226.jpg (72.45 KiB) Viewed 2345 times

- And the latest... If anyone can recognise the pic, I have made progress! lol

Yes, they're crooked, but that's the point! They weren't done with meticulous care, but rather just as 'exercise', given about five minutes for each.

Some of those photos are terrible. They were taken with my cellphone and I apologize for the crappy quality!

I like the Charger. It looks alive and animated. And the little car with the blower just above is cute. Nice to see a departure from the flat side on pics.

Just an idea that might help you, basic metal and woodwork scetches at school, taught how to draw the outlines of an object. look at the very basic scetch below. It might help you to get the basic shape and angle right, to outline the basic shape, then you just bend the lines etc. to fit and shape the car you are drawing. Have fun.

Thanks
Mind you, I had technical drawing in high school, so that already helps to an extent

(add first year varsity Mech. Eng., which was - on the drawing side - full freehand sketching

)

Hey Drakie, where'd you go? Did you give up? Here's some doodles I made some time ago. Please, I'm not highjacking your thread. These are not to brag (well maybe a little

) but to cheer you on.

Hey, those are incredible
I've been busy, but the Gordini is almost-almost finished... May went by with me almost not touching it, had something on every weekend keeping me busy. Had the Escort Club run too keep me from doodling on the first weekend in June, then spent the next weekend fixing Skortie up with a few new bits
Had to repackage 180kgs of plastic icing last weekend, I swear, never again! Did get some shading done between these happenings though... I'm going into this weekend adamant that I'll finish it. Sorry Gordini, for making you wait so long!
