I wouldn't touch a Jag if it was built when Ford owned it, those were Murky years. But post 2008 I think it's a safe and good buy. They now make dam fine cars! The only down side, like owning a BMW or Landrover out of motorplan is the cost of parts.

Don't you own a Disco 4, which at the very least, is powered by a Jaguar/Ford engine?

Ford still do the V8's and Diesels for Jag and Land Rover, no problem with that
1984 Rover Vanden Plas V8 (Historic Race car)
1986 Rover 3500 Vitesse (UK Import Ex London Police Car)
1983 Rover Vanden Plas undergoing conversion to race car.
2009 Ford Territory ST,
2006 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Auto, daily driver

I had a truly exasperating experience with Land Rover until I eventually found two people at the dealership who provide exemplary service, now I only deal with them and nobody else.

Running one of these Jags...marginally less risky than an old Maserati!

The XF I reckon would be ok...
Alfa GTV 3.0
Ford Capri Perana V8
Chevy Lumina Supercharged

Wait not for tomorrow to do what can be done today, live each day for one knows not what the next day may hold.

I had 4 Discos in a Row. Loved them and never had 1 problem but all were 'new' and in motorplan. But all we're also after Tata purchased Landrover and brand had money and R&D behind it.

I took the plunge last year and bought a 4.4 V8 TD Range Rover Sport. Best car I've ever owned!
