The car may be exported but that is the buyers perogative. Nobody locally came up with the cash from what I hear . The Rand has halved in value in the last three years or so and the cars along with other models are now a bargain to overseas buyers who do have the cash ready on hand and pay in Rand terms, which we think are great at the time .
Good ones are worth 25000GBP in the UK . A really good one may go for 5-10000GBP more but will not go on the open market and will be sold by word of mouth. For what it's worth (sic) Cheers

That's a pity. I know someone locally who would've paid that price for it.
Poorly advertised in my opinion...we thought that we were on top of all SA online classifieds for Perana ads using the searchword "Perana", yet we missed this one coz the seller never used the term.

Maybe wiser to use a broader searchword than just Perana.I normally go the full route:Ford+Capri+Perana, and I pick up all Capri's whether they Perana's or not, plus all Capri Perana's including this one that was sold for that matter........hope this helps.

As the saying goes: "whalala-wasala"........you snooze, you loose!
This car was on FB for one day - priced to sell!
Congrats to the buyer - very nice example of a Perana. Still looked very original bar a few smaller things which could be sorted out, no problem .
Only thing I would maybe have done if it was mine was to fit the same "Minilites" that I have on my Can-Am......make it a nice pairing.
Aw well, better luck next time

Not quite, Johan...if you search "Ford Capri Perana", it will not give you a hit for something that is merely advertised as a "Ford Capri" because you have included "Perana" in your search and "Perana" is not in their ad. It would only pick it up if you search for "Ford", "Capri" or "Ford Capri", and I don't want to see all results for Ford Capris, I only want results for the Capri Peranas.

In terms of engine bay its quite a long way from being original. Glad the buyer got his price, hopefully the car went to a good home.
