:D But it's a genuine Ford, not a kit car, escort, cortina, lazer or a Fiesta, but a real deal "build tough" in steel Ford asset.

Yip now sure is the time to be snapping up the deals in steel. Even some of the ones I mentioned above. Not saying this is a deal of the year, but for someone with the moohla and not wanting to get their paws dirty or risk getting taken for a ride at a custom shop it sure don't seem that badly priced. Besides it's not like you can wake up tomorrow and go look for a blue one rather. Plus the generation that these cars are gonna appeal to most are not quite peaking in their careers yet.

Could someone please explain to me why Ford SA used the 'Fairlane' label for the 1962-65 mid sized models and ca. 1969 up smaller cars whereas your 1966-68 'Fairlanes' were full sized cars obviously based our our Ford Galaxie.
