Bosch Blue Coil any good?

Post by BIGSIX » Wed 13 Oct 2010, 11:06

Hi All,

On my 350 V8 I am still running distributor with points and my Coil is packing up(black coil not sure what make), I am looking at getting a Bosh Blue Coil as the other coils RS performance and the other V8 Places have are for electronic distributors.

I need the Bakkie fixed now so I just want to replace the coil and I will get a Electronic distributor system in December or so.

If your still have the point distributors, what coil are you using?

Thanks

If you are running stock points , you need a coil with the ballast resistor inside like the original black coil . Unless you add an external ballast resistor, running the wrong coil could fry your Points .v8 performance shops should have a Petronics coil, called the "Flame Thrower"
